Deposit and Payment

A deposit of $200.00 USD + 7 % bank commission per person is necessary to purchase your Classic Inca Trail permit. You have the flexibility to pay online via VISA or PAYPAL, or opt for cash payment (USD or Peruvian soles) to avoid additional credit card fees.

Changes and Refunds

Please note that once permits are purchased, changes to dates are not possible. Any modifications incur a $100 fee as new permits must be purchased based on availability. Unfortunately, permits are not transferable or refundable.

Expect unpredictable weather and dress accordingly in layers. To combat altitude sickness, acclimatize in Cusco or the Sacred Valley for at least 2 days before the trek. Additionally, water, coca tea, and oxygen are available if needed.

Baggage and Gear

Prepare a small duffel bag for clothing and a day backpack for personal items. Adhering to Peruvian law, duffel bags must not exceed 6 kilograms. Porters will manage your duffel bag, along with food and gear.
